Registered and car shopping

Jamaar and I went to go register last night. We know two different people who will be throwing us a baby shower, and they have been hounding me about where we and when we are going to register. So we thought we better get it done and out of the way. Since we both have family scattered all over the country (and world!) that won't be able to make it to the baby showers, I thought I would give you our shower info. if you want to send something for the baby.

We are registered at Babies R Us. Our registry can either be pulled up at the computer at the store or you can order things off of the registry online at www.babiesrus.com. All you need is either one of our names.

We also went car shopping yesterday. Both of us have small 2 door cars, so we are going to be getting rid of mine and getting a 4 door. We looked at a few used cars that we might go back and test drive this week. Carmax gave us a great deal for purchasing my car, so wherever we get a car from, we'll be selling my car to carmax this week.

We're trying to get something not too expensive. We don't know what Maya's heart condition will be like and how much medical bills we're going to have. So, we're probably just going to get a used car with low mileage that's under $15,000. Right now we are thinking of a Jeep Liberty Sport. We saw a 2004 with 20,000 miles on it yesterday. So, we're going to go test drive it this week and see what we think.

Both of us work on the grounds of hospitals which is a pain when it snows. Because we are both supervisors we have to be able to go to work in the snow. I'm the one responsible for opening up our school when it snows because I live the closest and the teacher who usually opens the school is terrified of driving in the snow. So, we're hoping to get a 4 wheel drive vehicle to help us out with that situation. Right now both of our cars are just pathetic in the snow.
